Meet the Practitioners

Dr. Deborah Warner
deborahevewarner@gmail.com

Deborah has always had a heart for helping people. She began her professional career in 2005 when she graduated from Colorado School of Healing Arts with an associates in Massage Therapy, with specialties in Cranial Sacral and Trauma Touch Therapy™. This gave her the foundation she needed to further understand the physiological effects of trauma.

Through the course of her massage therapy career, she recognized that, although she understands the physical effects of trauma, she had yet to understand the mental and emotional aftermath as well. As clients felt comfortable sharing their stories during the massage, Deborah became keenly aware that she was not yet fully educated on the full breadth of what it took for complete healing.

Deborah decided to return to school, first for her Bachelor’s in Human Resources at Southwestern Christian University, then also getting her Master’s in Counseling from Faulkner University in 2014. Interning at At Peace Therapy Center, she quickly found her niche in working with Borderline Personality Disorder (as well as other personality disorders), which are often accompanied with trauma and suicide ideation/attempts, and abuse recovery.

While she saw great results with the training she had received up to this point, Deborah often felt compartmentalized in her healing practice. Wanting to integrate more of the totality of clients; physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, she returned to further her education. Deborah attended the Institute of Bioenergetic Medicine from June 2020 to August of 2023 to obtain a dual Doctorate in both Natural Medicine and Bioenergetic Medicine. Through this program she has learned various modalities such as Nutrition, Auriculotherapy, Spondylotherapy, Homeopathy, Herbalism, Iridology, Point Testing, Medicine Wheel (body scans), among others.

Dr. Deborah Warner now practices as a Wholistic Mental Health Specialist. She has taken her decades of training and experience and is now working as a Doctor of Natural Medicine and Bioenergetic Medicine with a Mental Health focus. She also teaches courses at IBEM and participates in suicide awareness functions as opportunities arise.

Parenting… one of the greatest joys but also one of the hardest jobs. It doesn’t always seem like a joy and some days you’re left feeling stuck, not sure what to do. You want to raise your kids right but you wonder if you are. You feel like you have nothing left in the tank and feel lost on what to do next. You’ve tried EVERYTHING!

Many parents share these feelings and frustrations at some point through their children’s lives. If this is you, you are not alone!

Hello! I am Courtney Beeler, a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate. I work under the supervision of Deborah Warner, at Authentically You. I find it a privilege to serve youth and families. It would be my pleasure to come alongside you to improve your family’s functioning and communication. I support families by helping them relate and understand one another better, help youth feel heard and understood, help parents overcome feelings of doubt and fear, and help the entire family system to overcome hardship.

Along with my experience with youth and families in office, I have over 10 years of experience working with youth in varying capacities. I also have previous experience in working in Christian settings with youth and their parents. Christian counseling is an option if so desired. However, if your family prefers not to bring in spirituality or faith, that will be respected as well. I am here to walk with you through difficult seasons and to work together to find hope within the midst.

I look forward to meeting you and/or your family.

Mikayla has always had a heart filled with a desire to help others for as long as she can remember. When Mikayla was a senior in High School she was torn between the choice of majors in pre-nursing or psychology, both of which appealed to her. She ultimately decided to declare a pre-nursing degree at the University of Northern Colorado.

While in the practicum phase of getting her CNA license, so close to the end, Mikayla recognized her natural tendency leaned more toward wanting to talk to patients, trying to understand the pain and struggles they were facing. Realizing this, Mikayla changed her major to Psychology and realized she finally found her true calling.

During her undergraduate experience, Mikayla had an internship at an equine therapy site called Hearts and Horses, where she started to develop her mental health skills professionally for the first time. Even though she was only there for a semester, she learned a lot about what she wanted to do with her career and how she wanted to help others.

Mikayla began her counseling career in 2020 after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. She got her first job at a community mental health center as a therapeutic mentor for kids shortly after she graduated. After two years of experience in the field, Mikayla decided it was time to go back to school to get her Masters degree.

Mikayla is currently in her second year of working towards a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. She worked, gaining a lot of experience, at another clinic from August 2023- April 2024 before coming to Authentically You Therapy Center. She is excited to learn more in her new placement!

She will graduate from the program in December of 2024. She is excited to see what the future has in store for her career and how she can utilize her skills and experience to help others!
